Hi, I’m Jodie Villemaire!
For most of my career, I was the principal sitting exactly where you are now.
I cared deeply about instruction. I believed in my teachers. And yet, like so many principals, I spent far too much time managing professional development instead of truly leading learning. Outside consultants came and went. Initiatives launched with good intentions. Some stuck...many didn’t.
What I learned, after more than 30 years in Texas public education and over two decades in school leadership, is this:
